Assisi arts club is the brain child of the Capuchins in South India. It was the very first stage theatre in Kerala envisioned by a religious fraternity. Rev. Fr. Ferdinand Manayil OFM Cap. Of happy memory is the founder of this Arts Club. Assisi was founded on the aim to spread spirituality and moral principles through stage apostolate. It was in the hands of Rev.Fr. Faustin Kumarakom OFM Cap that Assisi reached its zenith of excellence in the field of Bible Drama. It has staged nearly fifty Dramas during the past few decades. Assisi Arts Club has been an Everest among the Malayalam Drama troupes. Songs produced by Assisi are widely circulated all over Kerala and even outside the state. Some of its songs were visualized and telecasted by different popular TV channels. Assisi Arts Club is accepted even by other religions. We have made use of the stage apostolate to diffuse spiritual and moral principles to the world.

Assisi arts club is always wide open towards the changes in the world media. One of the main unique characteristics of the Assisi is the adaptation it makes according to the times. Thus it was transformed to Assisi arts & communications some years ago. Thus Assisi arts and communications started the production of the same in compatible Discs (CD). Our songs were recorded much earlier in the Gramophone Discs. In the field of devotional music no one can ignore the contributions being done by Assisi Arts and communications. The step taken by Fr. Faustine before 50 years is remarkable. It was a time of strong cloistered life. Since he was very much aware of the media he found that the greatest media of the time was drama. The songs written by Fr. Faustine are telecasted in Trissur Radio Station. After a long gap that happened in between, Fr. Albert koilparambil began to regain the glory of Assisi arts club. He began to stage dramas that are having social significance. And the dramas are Athmavinte Ayalkkar (2008), Ammayude Oormaikku (2009), Pancha Nakshathra Swapnam (2010-2011), Kannadi. There are many TV. Programs produced by Assisi arts club. It also runs a music academy.
